Mission Statement
(REV. 6/10/24)
To encourage and support Mid-Michigan area Christian families in successfully homeschooling their children to become responsible citizens and faithful followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.
How do we achieve this mission?
(REV. 6/10/24)
We do this through fostering a faith-connected atmosphere for cooperative education, extracurricular scholarship, educational field trips, exchange of teaching techniques and curriculum information, keeping members informed of pertinent homeschool current events, and providing family socials and other group activities for our children.
CHEMinistry Statement of Faith
(REV. 6/10/24)
There is only one true God, the creator and sustainer of everyone and everything. All things exist for the glory of God.
Our God eternally exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are the same in substance and equal in power and glory.
Jesus Christ is the eternal sinless Son of God, was born of a virgin, and is both fully God and fully human. He died as the sacrificial substitute to pay the penalty for sin1.
Jesus Christ physically rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will one day physically return to judge and renew the whole world.
God created us male and female in his own image. These two distinct, complementary genders reflect the image and nature of God.
For our good and His glory, God established marriage to unite one man and one woman within an exclusive union.
We are sinful by both birth (original sin) and action.
There will be a future physical resurrection of the dead and only those who turn from sin and to Jesus in faith and repentance will be raised to eternal reward. Those who do not turn from sin and to Jesus will be raised to eternal punishment.
Christians are sanctified through the work of the Holy Spirit.
The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the very inspired Word of God.
1Sin is rejecting or ignoring God in the world he created, rebelling against him by living without reference to him, not being or doing what he requires in his law – resulting in our death and the disintegration of all creation.
